WHO announces membership of new commission
12 February 2004 -- WHO announced today the ten members of the Commission on Intellectual Property Rights, Innovation and Public Health. The new commission was established as a result of a resolution at the 2003 World Health Assembly.

Medicinal plants: Guidelines for patient safety, plant conservation
Thumbnail10 February 2004 -- WHO releases today guidelines on agricultural and collection practices for medicinal plants. The guidelines address the growing popularity of herbal medicines as the natural answer to some ailments, and the need to ensure these medicines do not pose a threat to either people or the environment.
